I have some pictures of the recent work. The engine is in and the dog leg that had a little bit of rust was replaced to prevent any in the future, the other side has had drainage added and coated. The 5 speed was replaced and its new, I think that was done before and in the last update. Still many things to do but all the mechanicals are sorted so it should drive very well now. Dash was capped, he didn't send me a picture, I'm on a side trip and will be back in San Francisco in a bit. They did get some aircraft style seat belts with retractors, the stock ones are not to my daughters liking. The interior was pretty much ok other than the dash, there isn't really carpet in these cars, just a foot mat on each side and a mat that covers the rear area, those were replaced at some point. There is a man known for his ability to spruce up old paint in the bay area and I think he was thinking of asking that guy what he could do with this car since it has the original paint. I'm looking for some Yokohama tyres that fit the slotted alloy wheels, the car was made in Yokohama so I thought it would be a nice touch. More to follow at some point. A BRE air dam with brake vents and headlight covers were ordered yesterday.

Looks good. I love metal work. Did you make the patch from scratch?

Its my son in laws car, I have just given advice during the process. He had a Z expert do it, I believe that spot is notorious for problems and they make all the necessary bits.

Yeah its a great car that won't cost a fortune to run, I think some classic rallies will be fun. Breaking in the engine will require some restraint.
